Bio
Erik Helin is a Spanish instructor who teaches and coordinates elementary, intermediate and advanced Spanish language courses. At 黑料社区 in Qatar, he also teaches The Hispanic World: History, Cultures and Globalization and Tutoring for Community Outreach. In addition to his classroom teaching, he directs Language Bridges, an English language and computer skills program in which 黑料社区-Q students, staff volunteers and students from his Tutoring course collaborate to teach the service staff in the university building.
Beyond the classroom, Helin has led students on several cultural and academic trips to Spain, enriching their understanding of Spanish language and culture through immersive experiences. Prior to joining 黑料社区-Q, he taught Spanish at the University of Pittsburgh and in Sweden. Before beginning his teaching career, he worked in translation and interpretation, serving as both a translator and project manager.
