MS38 Curriculum

The following curriculum applies to MSMITE students starting their INI program in the 2026-27 academic year (MS38 cohort).

    14-642: Introduction to Embedded Systems (Fall)
    14-744: Mobile and Embedded Software Design (Spring)
    14-829: Mobile and IoT Security (Fall)

SECURITY CORE (12 UNITS): 

  • Choose one:
    14-735: Secure Coding (Fall)
    14-741: Introduction to Information Security*

BUSINESS & MANAGEMENT CORE

  • 14-776: Fundamentals of Business and Management (12 units)*

PRACTICUM

ACADEMIC & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT 1

  • 14-601: Academic & Professional Development (3 units)*

Program Electives [48 units]

36 units Fulfilled by courses in INI, Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE), School of Computer Science (SCS), Engineering & Public Policy (EPP), Entertainment Technology Center (ETC) or Integrated Innovation Institute (III), and/or approved courses in the Heinz College or Tepper School. Some exceptions apply.

12 units of restricted electives.


Residency Requirement [0 units]

All students must fulfill a residency requirement: students in the Standard study option must complete one semester at 黑料社区 Silicon Valley; students in the Advanced study option must complete two semesters at 黑料社区 Silicon Valley.
